Piezomed – mastering complex tasks perfectly
Patient safety and the ease of the treatment are the main concern of every surgeon. The use of state-of-the-art piezotechnology makes it possible to structure operations so that they are efficient and minimally invasive. On 18th September 2014, Dr. med. dent. Mario Kirste MSc (Frankfurt (Oder), Germany) and Dr. med. dent. Stavros Pelekanos (Athens, Greece) will be offering insights into the world of modern piezosurgery.
In special workshops, the two experts in oral surgery and implantology will be giving a select specialist audience an understanding of the advantages of the new W&H surgical instrument Piezomed. The new Piezomed from W&H can be used to perform minimally invasive treatments with little pain; the patients also benefit from a shorter recovery period.

Bone splitting and augmentation with modern piezotechnology
In his workshop, Dr. Mario Kirste will be demonstrating an innovative concept for bone splitting, supplemented with examples from clinical cases. In addition, the participants will have the opportunity to try Piezomed out for themselves and test it. Alongside the use of bone grafts and membranes in bovine bones, the participants will also be provided with comprehensive expertise on the right surgical technique for lobes.
The use of piezotechnology in combination with allografts in implant and sinus surgery
The aim of this workshop is to demonstrate the diverse application possibilities and the efficacy of the new Piezomed in surgical procedures. This will be done with the aid of special models composed of soft tissue and bone and mimicking human tissue. In combination with implant positioning, the participants will also practise bone harvesting, sinus lifts and a GBR in the aesthetic zone.

As a considerable factor in modern surgery, piezotechnology offers definite advantages for the patient and user alike.
