Ms Lambrez, first of all, tell us about your practice.

Lambrez: We have a team of four dentists, two of them full-time and two part-time.

Then we have three dental assistants, who help the dentists with implantology and periodontology treatment and also with prophylaxis. Every dentist treats about fifteen patients a day.

What part does the new W&H Lisa sterilizer play in the hygiene processes in your practice?

Lambrez: Sterilization is of central importance in our primarily implantology-oriented work processes. The Lisa sterilizer is an important part of our processing equipment, which includes, inter alia, an ultrasonic bath, a washer-disinfector, a dryer and a sealing device. This means that our practice has all the equipment required to meet the highest quality standards for sterilization and to offer the highest possible degree of safety for our patients.

What do you think are the advantages of the new navigation concept of the W&H Lisa sterilizer?

Lambrez: The new colour touch screen with four intuitive symbols in the main menu simplifies the selection process during operation. In addition, the sterilization parameters are displayed when the program is started and the test cycles can be displayed almost immediately. This gives an accurate overview of the sterilization process. Which makes our work easier, faster and more efficient.

What do you think of the accelerated B-cycle with the patented Eco Dry technology?

Lambrez: The optimized cycle represents a significant step forward and conforms with the rigid requirements of our practice. Each of the four dentists has his own instruments. They must be processed as soon as possible after use, so treatment of the next patient can be started. The accelerated cycle and the Eco Dry technology enable fast and efficient instrument processing, which saves a significant amount of time. And the cycle offers another advantage: our trays are no longer so cluttered. Therefore we can plan multiple procedures per day – even with a limited number of instruments. On average we conduct four sterilization cycles a day for surgical and implantology cassettes, dental handpieces etc.

What do you find the most interesting innovations with the new Lisa sterilizer?

Lisa Sterilisator
Lisa adapts the drying time to reflect the load. This means not only shorter cycles but also longer service life for instruments and reduced power consumption.

Lambrez: I have been working in this field for more than fifteen years and it is obvious how the Eco Dry technology has revolutionized the sterilization process. Lisa adapts the drying time to reflect the load. This means not only shorter cycles but also longer service life for instruments and reduced power consumption.

We have been able to reduce our water and power costs and therefore our operating costs are lower. The W&H Lisa sterilizer also improves traceability. It includes numerous functions for automatic creation of a sterilization protocol.

Is the design of the Lisa simply cosmetic or is it a genuine new development?

Lambrez: It is modern, ergonomic and practical. The design of the W&H Lisa sterilizer is thoroughly thought-out – including consideration given to the space available in a practice. The compact size of the device in particular is a great advantage. It saves space in the sterilization room that can then be used for other purposes.

It also offers many additional features such as the Lisa app, which can be used to monitor up to four sterilizers from a smartphone or tablet in real time from anywhere in the practice.

It simplifies our work in all sorts of ways.

Lisa Mobile App
Lisa Mobile App enables the operator to monitor up to 4 sterilizers with the smartphone or tablet in real time from any place in the practice.

Could it be said that this is the start of a new age in the field of sterilization?

Lambrez: Our concern is to offer the greatest possible safety during treatment of our patients. The technology has also advanced enormously. The new generation of Lisa covers the following aspects in particular: networking, safety and ease of operation. All the above simplifies our work processes in the field of sterilization, leaving more time for treatment of our patients.
