Mr Malata presented Dr Artit with a set of W&H handpieces that complimented the gift of an Adec 500 chair/unit and ICC cabinetry from Adec Inc. The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Artit, the owner of Rangsit University.

The invited guests included the grand daughter and great grandson of Prince Rangsit, after which the university is named. Without the focus of the Dental Siam team, the W&H partner in Thailand, the cooperation for the benefit of students, would not have been as successful.

The opening ceremony included traditional Buddhist prayers conducted by nine monks and a Hindu (Brahman) spiritual offering.

The project which started back in 2007 and now includes Adec dental chair/units. To date W&H has supplied Perfecta laboratory motors, Assistina’s and a full compliment of clinical and surgical handpieces for both the student simulators and clinics alike.

The dental students at Rangsit purchase their own handpieces and are responsible for their individual care and maintenance. The university has installed a state of the art central sterilizing facility to cater for the large number of handpieces in daily use.
