From 6th until 11th of June a group of ten Opinion Leaders visited the W&H factory in Austria. The group was accompanied by the owners of the W&H representations in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Right away on Monday morning our guests visited the company and got a tour of our new facilities as well as the museum. To see the evolution of dental instruments over the centuries was a highlight for the group. In the afternoon some presentations were given about the complete W&H product line. The focus was on the new W&H products Synea turbines with LED+ and Alegra instruments with LED and generator.
On Tuesday the group started the day early and travelled to Innsbruck to visit the Dental University. Prof. Dr. Herbert Dumfahrt greeted the group and gave an overview of the University, the dental curriculum and some model cases to explain the philosophies of dentistry they follow and teach.
After a traditional Tyrol lunch the group toured the facilities of the University and had a chance to cover individual questions with Prof. Dr. Herbert Dumfahrt. A short stop at the Swarovski Cristal World on the way back was highly appreciated by the ladies!
During the Lakes & Mountain sightseeing tour on Wednesday some of the guests had a chance for a short swim in Lake Wolfgang. In preparation for the traditional Austrian evening at a former blacksmith facility, one of our female guests bought an Austrian “Dirndl” which made her look like a star of the “Sound of Music” movie.
Thursday started with a guided walking tour around the historical center of Salzburg. In the afternoon a visit to the department of maxillofacial surgery at the Salzburg hospital was conducted.
The weather was still excellent in the evening and provided a perfect frame for the final dinner at the restaurant “Schöne Aussicht” with an incredible view over the city of Salzburg.
