W&H France donates rotary instruments to the charitable organisation Les Amis de Paksé (Laos)
Eddy Harquel, a Technician in the After-Sales Department for Instruments and Surgical at W&H France, had the ingenious idea of refurbishing rotary instruments, in order to find a new life and home for this equipment.
Harquel's involvement in humanitarian activities and the generosity of W&H France came as a response to a call from Roger Wolf, a retired dentist and former client. Numerous rotary instruments (contra-angle handpieces, turbines and burs) were offered to Les Amis de Paksé for their humanitarian mission in Laos.
Donations have been made to four different villages in the Paksé region (southern Laos) to promote oral hygiene and healthcare and provide preventative dental treatment. With this additional equipment, the organisation has been able to set up a dental surgery with three complete workstations (ultrasound, rotary instruments, restorative procedures, endodontics and surgery) and performed 37 prosthetic procedures in six days, including partial dentures and repairs.
It is clear that this good deed has produced effective results.
