W&H introduces the next Generation of Implantmed
Smart Features for everyday clinical Use: Implantmed Plus II and Piezomed module Plus II
For over 20 years, W&H’s Implantmed represents uncompromising quality and maximum reliability – Made in Austria. With the new Implantmed Plus II, the medical technology company is now taking this commitment a step further: proven performance meets innovative digital functionality.
"The Implantmed Plus II essentially acts as a helping hand in the operating room," says Isabella Schmied, Product Manager at W&H. "Our aim was to develop a product that supports users as efficiently as possible – from rotary drilling, piezoelectric cutting to the demanding preparation and follow-up stages."
For those who'd rather operate than document
The new surgical motor features an integrated scanning function. This allows materials such as implants or biomaterials to be captured directly in the operating area simply by scanning the packaging code. Time-consuming manual documentation is therefore a thing of the past. Furthermore, the recorded data serves as the basis for generating various reports. For example, implant passport for patients or referral documents can be created directly from the system’s information. That means more time for what really matters: patients and their treatment.
An entirely new range of possibilities
Thanks to integrated Wi-Fi, the Implantmed Plus II connects effortlessly to W&H’s digital platform.
With ioDent®, users benefit from a wide variety of intelligent features: once registered, a digital device logbook is maintained automatically, ensuring that settings and data are always traceable and securely saved. Users can also conveniently perform software updates themselves, keeping the device consistently up to date.
Boosting efficiency in the OR
Another highlight: integration with implant planning software enables the automatic transfer of relevant treatment parameters directly to the device. This means that one single planning process serves as the basis for settings tailored to both the patient and the treatment. All data generated during treatment, such as the torque curve or ISQ measurements, are also automatically documented and saved in the system via ioDent®.
Future-proof investment
With the new Piezomed module Plus II, the compatible piezo device is now ready for seamless integration with the Implantmed Plus II – even easier to connect and conveniently controlled via the Implantmed display. This, however, is only the beginning: with the pre-configured interface architecture, the system is fully prepared for future expansion. Additional modules can be effortlessly integrated, offering surgeons maximum flexibility and the confidence of investing in a truly future-proof system.
