The cordless Proxeo Twist Polishing System from W&H

The newfound freedom in rotary polishing

W&H has expanded its portfolio by a cordless polishing system for more comfort and greater freedom of movement during prophylaxis or periodontitis treatment.
The Proxeo Twist Polishing System allows dentists and hygienists to use the cordless polishing handpiece entirely without constraints and control it using the wireless foot control.

The combination of straight handpiece and matching disposable prophy angles ensures better access to the treatment site. Even the posterior molar region is easy to reach. The new cordless polishing system from W&H thus enables top-class rotary polishing treatment for both dentists, hygienists and patient.

In modern dental treatment, professional mechanical removal of plaque and biofilm is an integral part of the prophylaxis workflow and periodontitis treatment. Rotary polishing instruments, such as the new cordless Proxeo Twist Polishing System, now remove plaque and discolourations with the perfectly coordinated disposable prophy angles in accordance with the recommendations of the EFP (Consensus Report of the European Federation for Periodontology [1]). According to these recommendations, professional mechanical plaque removal (PMPR) of soft and calcified deposits and discolourations can greatly prevent the development of gingivitis, mucositis and the subsequent periodontitis or periimplantitis.

Flexible working without cables

The cordless Proxeo Twist Polishing System from W&H enables the therapist to provide prophylaxis treatment with maximum flexibility. Due to the cordless design, dentists and hygienists benefit from a lower load on the arm, as there is no cable to cause tensile strain. This minimises wrist fatigue during polishing. It is possible to work in a relaxed manner even on days when treating a high number of patients. The handpiece is half the weight of a conventional speed reduction green contra-angle handpiece with unit motor. As a result, the cordless Proxeo Twist System provides dentists and hygienists with the opportunity to focus on a good ergonomic working posture.

Excellent performance during treatment and absolute freedom of movement ensure safe, reliable and stress-free polishing. A powerful, long-lasting Li-ion battery provides absolute reliability all day long. The wireless foot control, enabling infinitely variable regulation of the handpiece speed, further improves the dentists and hygienists usual way of working.

The rotatability of the cordless handpiece combined with its lightweight design means that the rapid onset of wrist fatigue now belongs to the past.

Good access to the treatment site

The rotatable handpiece drive combined with the W&H disposable prophy angles also allows comfortable and convenient access to hard-to-reach areas in the patient’s oral cavity. Even the posterior molars are easily accessible and can be polished efficiently and gently. The disposable prophy angles adapt optimally to the tooth surfaces.
