Clinical cases of regenerative bone procedures using piezo surgery

The following clinical case studies illustrate the advantages of piezosurgery in various regenerative bone therapy procedures. In the first case, alveolar ridge reconstruction using block grafts is performed in preparation for implant treatment in a patient with a completely edentulous maxilla and severe bone resorption. In the second clinical example, this technology is used for implant site preparation using bovine block grafts, followed by implant placement. Both case reports are part of Chapter 9 of the book Cirugía piezoeléctrica: generalidades y aplicaciones clínicas.

Bone Augmentation using Piezo surgery Clinical perspectives by Prof. José Carlos Rosas Díaz

Autologous block grafts are considered the gold standard for bone augmentation in the treatment of severe bone defects. In this interview, Prof. José Carlos Rosas Díaz explains the indications for this approach, the key factors influencing treatment success, and how piezo surgery supports alveolar ridge reconstruction and regeneration through precise, tissue-preserving osteotomies.

Safe Reprocessing requires a System: Validatable processes, automatic documentation and efficient equipment

Standardised workflows, validatable processes, and comprehensive documentation are key prerequisites for patient safety in dental practices. In this interview, Andrea Knauber explains how quality management supports hygiene requirements in everyday practice and how modern washer-disinfectors can contribute to process reliability.
