The new Facelight light probe gives the dentist maximum control over the success of the treatment at all times and allows him to make verified decisions about the treatment. It is based on the innovative FACE* method, which makes certain visual detection of carious dentine possible during treatment. Bacteria in dentine infected with caries leave metabolic by-products (porphyrins). These are invisible to the naked eye in normal light conditions.
The illumination of the opened cavities with the Facelight light probe makes dentine infected with caries directly visible. The violet light (wavelength: 405 nm) emitted by the Facelight light probe makes the porphyrins in the substance fluoresce red, in contrast to the healthy tooth material, which fluoresces green.

The perfect filter for every taste.
Using a filter disc considerably boosts the red-green contrast. The familiar procedures can optionally be performed with a filter disc, magnifying attachment or goggles. The filter disc is particularly easy to use and can be attached directly to the light probe.
Alternatively, the dentist can also use the diagnostic goggles with filter function included in the scope of delivery. There is a goggles attachment set available for use with magnifying glasses or as a complement for the diagnostic goggles.
