W&H at the Penn Endo Global Symposium 2014

The Penn Endo Global Symposium 2014 in Vienna will focus on the latest scientific concepts and expertise in conventional and surgical endodontics. From 4th to 6th December, experts from all over the world will be offering insights into the latest research findings and practical applications. The symposium is presented by Penn Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in cooperation with the Austrian Society of Endodontology (ÖGE), which will also be holding its annual meeting at the same time. The symposium is organised by Univ. Prof. DDr. Christof Pertl, President of the ÖGE, and DDr. Johannes Klimscha, Secretary of the ÖGE.

In close cooperation with the University of Pennsylvania and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Syngcuk Kim, Louis I. Grossmann Professor and Department Chairman for Endodontics, the event provides a platform for discussions about the latest academic discoveries and presenting them to the international community. Speakers from countries all over the world, including Greece, Hong Kong and the USA, will be hosting informative presentations about the latest topics and trends in the field of endodontics in Palais Ferstel (Vienna).

On Thursday afternoon, a number of talented young scientists will present their research at Bernhard Gottlieb University Clinic of Dentistry in Vienna – with a prize going to the best contributions. The Endo-Circle training session on Friday morning includes live demonstrations of a variety of instruments. Visitors will also be able to road-test the latest W&H products for themselves in practical workshops. Discussions with selected experts offer the chance to pose clinical questions and put specific application scenarios to the test.

Platform for international exchange among experts

As a significant platform for international exchange in the field of endodontics, the Penn Endo Global Symposium brings together experts from the fields of practical science and research from all over the world. “With the Penn Endo Global Symposia we want to offer general dentists and endodontists the world over access to the advanced scientific concepts of the University of Pennsylvania, which implements biological principles in daily practice”, said Prof. Dr. Syngcuk Kim. Around 500 participants are expected to attend this year’s event. The panel of international speakers includes: Dr. Helmut Walsch (Germany), Dr. Spyros Floratos (Greece), Dr. William Cheung (Hong Kong), Prof. Dr. Gilberto Debelian (Norway), Sancho Correia (Portugal) and Dr. Denis Kinane (USA).
