W&H Innovation Day in Costa Rica

At the end of February, more than 45 guests accepted the invitation to attend the 28th W&H Innovation Day in San José in Costa Rica. As in the past few years, this year's event once again took place in a rather exclusive setting – this time it was the turn of the Holiday Inn hotel in Escazú to play host. Here, dentists had the chance to see the advantages of innovative ultrasound technology in oral surgery for themselves in the form of the W&H Piezomed surgical device, and find out more about powerful electric motors and devices used for the sterilization of dental instruments.

Expert talks and special offers

Oliver Goetzendorff, Area Manager for the Latin America region, presented the latest products on offer from W&H, including the outstanding LED light, found in instruments, and the new MS autoclave. This was followed by a cocktail reception, where guests were able to test the products out at presentation counters that had been set up especially for the occasion. W&H joined forces with its partner Implantec to provide visitors with some fantastic special offers, which are available exclusively once a year at these Innovation Day events.

Expert talks formed the main focus of the Innovation Days, with renowned guest speakers coming along to discuss current clinical topics.

For example, this year, visitors could further their knowledge by attending the talk given by Dr Jairo Vargas, Oral Surgeon and University Professor in Costa Rica, on the subject of ultrasound surgery . Under the title 'Extracción de cordales con Piezomed?', Dr Vargas gave a live demonstration of a wisdom tooth extraction. Plus, Dr Lucas Gil presented possible applications of the W&H EM-E6 electric motor, giving audience members the chance to test it out for themselves after the talk.
