W&H Sterilization: The "Italian Welfare Champion 2020" – best backdrop for customer support

Together with its 100 employees, W&H Sterilization S.r.l., based in Brusaporto (Bergamo) faces a real challenge in times of Covid-19 by providing best customer support for safe reprocessing and infection prevention. For its commitment to corporate welfare, W&H Sterilization was named “Italian Welfare Champion 2020”.

On September 22nd, 2020, the extraordinary commitment of W&H Sterilization was rewarded in Rome by prime minister of the Council of Ministers Giuseppe Conte with the "Italian Welfare Champion 2020" award. The employees value the company welfare activities and that gives W&H Sterilization special progress in times of Covid-19. Together with the workforce, the company was able to master the new challenges with quality, know-how and the best possible support. Their high-end sterilizers accompany customers to an efficient and safe sterilization workflow. All “united” within the W&H campaign #dentalsunited.

Since the company was founded in 1998, the developer and manufacturer of high-end sterilizers for the dental and medical industries has been active in company well-being. In addition to flexible working hours, a comprehensive training and development program, childcare facilities, and cultural and sports initiatives, W&H Sterilization scored with a performance bonus for employees (for patents, quality targets, product innovations, etc.).

At the beginning of the pandemic, W&H Sterilization managed to quickly adapt the work organisation by making it more flexible and switching to smart working models such as home office, webinars, distance learning, etc. The rapid reorganisation of work processes has enabled production to be maintained since the beginning of the pandemic. Global demand for W&H sterilizers has increased, and the medical technology company has shown very successfully that corporate well-being and corporate success go hand in hand.
"Human beings are the real force that drives change. So taking care of employees generates a creative and never-ending energy. Technology without the heart doesn’t improve", says Paolo Birolini.
