From September 18 to 20, W&H showcased the new Implantmed Plus II live for the first time at the EAO in Monaco. Following the official launch in a keynote presentation, visitors were able to try out the device in a hands-on session and experience the benefits of its new features firsthand. Initial feedback from users was overwhelmingly positive: the new functions simplify everyday work and were described as “practical” and “well-thought-out.” “People are always at the centre for us,” emphasises Andreas Brandstätter, Product Director Oral Surgery & Implantology at W&H. “Our goal is to support clinicians with smart, carefully designed solutions that enable them to provide their patients with the best possible treatment. At the end of the day, it’s about putting a smile on someone’s face.”

Numerous new features – including integrated Wi-Fi, remote updates, a newly developed scan function for implant detection, automatic documentation via ioDent®, and integration with implant planning software – make the Implantmed Plus II a true asset in daily surgical practice.

“Despite the many new functions, it was important to us to keep operation straightforward. The intuitive handling makes the new Implantmed a reliable partner, even in demanding treatment situations,” explains Isabella Schmied, W&H Product Manager. With the new Piezomed module Plus II, the Implantmed Plus II also offers a matching piezo device at hand – now even easier to connect and control conveniently via the Implantmed display.

A guide for treatment processes

The new surgical motor is embedded in W&H’s “Oral Surgery Compass,” which maps all the steps of a successful treatment. From the new Seethrough X-ray portfolio to the Implantmed and Piezomed module and the Osstell Beacon , each product is integrated into the system – contributing to optimal patient care. “Our products work hand in hand, are interconnected, and complement each other,” says Andreas Brandstätter.

Market launch in November 2025

The new Implantmed Plus II and the Piezomed module Plus II will be available from end of November 2025. Further information can be obtained directly from local distributors.
